Robert’s involvement with pigeon racing spans many years, during which time he has enjoyed success using Kilpatrick pigeons.
Regrettably, his appointment as Club & Federation secretary,
which left him with little or no time to train his birds was to
cause him to withdraw from active racing.
However, his on-going passion for the sport lead him to the fabulous racing pigeon breeding partnership of M&D Evans at Myrtle lofts, where he purchased Gaby Vandenabeele birds. He has since acquired many more quality birds. His loft, used as a feeder loft to a selection of top racing
pigeon fanciers in the Ayrshire district has produced great success in Club & Federation. For example; twelve first prizes in seasons 2007 and 2008. |
